I’m a tax and legal professional with nearly two decades of combined experience across tax strategy, tax compliance, and advisory work. My background blends the technical depth of business taxation with the practical judgment that comes from legal training, which helps me navigate complex situations with clear thinking and strong attention to detail.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in a variety of client environments, including advisory firms and CPA firms, where I led client relationships and managed teams responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and well-coordinated tax work. I’ve supported business owners across entity types and industries, with a focus on helping them make better decisions around structure, planning opportunities, and long-term tax efficiency.

I also spent time at Intuit as a Senior Tax Expert, where I sharpened my ability to research nuanced issues quickly, translate technical answers into plain English, and collaborate effectively under tight deadlines.

Today, I serve as Tax Director at J.E. Simmons and Company, where I help clients connect tax planning with the bigger picture. I enjoy solving complex problems, building practical strategies, and coordinating across legal, tax, and financial planning so clients can move forward with confidence.

I earned my JD from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and I’m a licensed attorney in the State of Texas.
